The EEC Desal Reverse Osmosis Desalinators utilizes the latest in reverse osmosis membrane technology to convert Seawater, Brackish water, or non–potable water into drinking water. All plants are customized to clients specific need to secure reliable equipment and safe drinking water.

What Is Reverse Osmosis?

Skid Mounted And Ready To Be Operated

How Does It Work?
Diffusion is the movement of molecules from a region of higher concentration to a region of lower concentration. Osmosis is a special case of diffusion in which the molecules are water and the concentration gradient occurs across a semi permeable membrane. The semi permeable membrane allows the passage of water, but not ions (e.g., Na+, Ca2+, Cl-) or larger molecules (e.g., glucose, urea, bacteria). Diffusion and osmosis are thermodynamically favorable and will continue until equilibrium is reached. Osmosis can be slowed, stopped, or even reversed if sufficient pressure is applied to the membrane from the 'concentrated' side of the membrane.

Reverse osmosis occurs when the water is moved across the membrane against the concentration gradient, from lower concentration to higher concentration. To illustrate, imagine a semi permeable membrane with fresh water on one side and a concentrated aqueous solution on the other side. If normal osmosis takes place, the fresh water will cross the membrane to dilute the concentrated solution. In reverse osmosis, pressure is exerted on the side with the concentrated solution to force the water molecules across the membrane to the fresh waterside.

Reverse osmosis is often used in commercial and residential water filtration. It is also one of the methods used to desalinate seawater.

Membranes for Industrial Applications

The EEC WASTE-SEP is an industrial membrane separator for a wide variety of chemically or mechanically emulsified solutions. EEC has combined advanced technology with proven concepts in efficient oil and water separation techniques. The result is a skid-mounted, fully automatic, liquid separator that can condition a milky, emulsified solution of oil, chemicals, ink, cutting oil and diesel fuel back to its origin.  The EEC WASTE-SEP will, in most cases, restore liquid to its original quality, and water can safely be drained into the local sewer line or be reused.

When Security & Quality Counts

Any Capacity & Configuration
The  EEC DESAL membrane systems are fully automatic water production plants designed for unattended operation. Any capacity and configuration available.

Compact Quality Design

The system design optimizes space requirements and provides easy access of all components requiring service. Highest quality components are selected for performance in adverse environments. A conservative design which incorporates low product to feed ratios to prevent membrane scaling, and increased membrane surface area to prevent compaction, allows lower operating pressures resulting in longer membrane life and the production of high quality potable water.

Skid Mounted Or Containerized
EEC Desal systems are designed to clients specific need. Influent water are carefully analyzed and systems are designed to meet clients, or  WHO drinking water standards. Skid mounted or in containers.

High-Efficiency Multi-Media
The compact system utilizes EEC’s proprietary and high efficiency multi-media filter to remove suspended solids and turbidity from seawater. It is complete with automatic controls and valves to backwash and purge itself. The unique design of the multi media filter has proven superior to all other types of filters.

Total Wastewater Solutions
Often the ideal treatment solution requires the integration of multiple technologies.  EEC offers Complete Biological Wastewater plant for Domestic and Industrial wastewater, Evaporators, Chemical precipitation system, Recycling systems, Grease Traps and more

  THE EEC-DESAL
If you have a need for water purification, then you can get the best results with an EEC DESAL “water maker” by Environmental Equipment Consulting & Production, Inc. The EEC Desal Reverse Osmosis Desalinator utilizes the latest in reverse osmosis membrane technology to convert seawater or non–potable water into drinking water.

  DESCRIPTION

The  EEC DESAL series 20-200 Seawater Desalinator is a fully automatic water production plant designed for unattended operation. The production capacity of potable water ranges from 20 cubic meters (5,280 gallons) to 200 cubic meters (52,840 gallons) per day. Any capacity available.

The EEC DESAL consistently out performs all other systems wherever it is operated, even in areas of extremely high salinity.

The compact system utilizes EEC’s proprietary and high efficiency multi-media filter to remove suspended solids and turbidity from seawater. It is complete with automatic controls and valves to backwash and purge itself. The unique design of the multi media filter has proven superior to all other types of filters.

To assure continued service and highest quality potable water, all EEC DESAL Series 20-200 are equipped with a membrane cleaning and preserving system which permits the membranes to be cleaned in place, and restore to near new condition.
